CYP's social events bring together both members and guests in a casual environment to grow personal skills and networks. In addition, these events highlight and support local businesses in the community.

Final Fridays

Our Final Friday networking events are held on the last Friday of each month at a local bar, brewery, or restaurant.

Mid-Month Mixers

Our Mid-Month Mixers are held on various days around the middle of the month. These events are a more relaxed way to network with other young professionals. We often have activities like bowling, mini-golf, or laser tag, so you can come and have some fun while you network.

Annual Picnic

Our Annual Picnic is a great way to relax and enjoy the summer weather. We have free food and drinks, yard games, raffles, and more.

Annual Meeting

Our Annual Meeting is held every March. You will learn about what CYP has accomplished in the past year, and what we have planned for the year to come. We also invite and highlight various local non-profit organizations that benefit the Carlisle community. This is a great event to attend and meet local community leaders from the Carlisle Borough and the Carlisle Chamber of Commerce.

CYP Community Outreach

CYP is committed to giving back to the community. We believe that by working together, we can make Carlisle a better place for everyone.

Here are some of the ways we get involved in the community:

  • Annual Park Cleanup: CYP has adopted Valley Meadows Park in Carlisle. Each Spring we gather a group of members and guests together to tackle a list of needs we receive from Carlisle Parks & Rec, which may include weeding, spreading mulch, clearing overgrowth, restaining the bridges, revitalizing the basketball court, and more. We all hang out for food and fellowship afterward. This is a family-friendly event, so bring your kids and get them involved, too.

  • Donation Drives: CYP holds donation drives for local non-profits at some of our social events throughout the year. We encourage guests to bring donations to support these important organizations.

  • Carlisle Downtown Mile: CYP members provide event set up to benefit the Employment Skills Center, where it's their mission to help people achieve personal growth and job betterment through education and training.

  • Wreaths Across America: CYP provides placement of wreaths in Shippensburg around Christmas time.

  • Salvation Army, My Brothers Table: CYP members purchase, prepare, and serve a meal to those in need.

We hope you will join us in giving back to the community!
